The West Bengal public service commission is soon going to release the result for the prelims examination held in June 2022 for the post of Supervisor in West Bengal (Female candidates only). The prelims examination was held in June 2022 and the results are yet awaited even after so many months. The WB Public Service Commission may announce the result for the same in January or the upcoming month of February. The candidates have been anticipating the results since last year and are still awaiting the results.

How To Check The Result

The WBPSC is soon going to release the result for the post of Supervisor for female candidates, the exam of which was held on June 16, 2022. The Commission has not yet announced the results. When the results are announced you can check them by following the steps given below.

  1. Visit the WBPSC official website.
  2. On the official website, visit the Results section from the multiple options provided on the website.
  3. After opening the Results tab, find the notification pertaining to the results of the Supervisor post for female candidates in WBPSC.
  4. Download the pdf with the help of an icon showcasing the pdf.
  5. In the PDF you can search for either your Name or Roll number and check the details.
  6. The ones who will have marks above or equal to cutoff marks will be considered qualified for the next round of examination or the mains examination.
  7. Further, you can check the details of the Mains examination to be held later in the year on the official website only.

The Commission will soon release the merit list for the candidates passing the Prelims examination along with their marks. The lists will be provided separately for different categories, so candidates must check the results according to that.

WBPSC Result Date 2023 Selection Process

The selection process for the post of Female Supervisor in West Bengal Public Service Commission consists of three stages viz. Prelims Written Examination, Mains Written Examination, and Interview. After the interview process, the candidates passing through all three phases are called for a Physical test as well as Document verification. The candidates found fit in this phase are considered while preparing the Merit list.

Prelims

The first step on the way to be a Supervisor in WBPSC is the written examination or the Prelims examination which is an objective or MCQ-type examination. This examination needs to be qualified by the candidates to proceed to the next step or the Mains examination.

Mains

The second step on the path is the Mains examination. It is one of the toughest examinations in the whole process of getting selected as a Supervisor. This consists of 7 papers, one of which is an optional paper and the Candidates can choose any subject of their choice from the list of given subjects. The other six are compulsory and can not be changed with the candidate’s will.

Interview

After the candidates clear the mains examination, they are called for the next or the last test on the path of becoming a Supervisor, that is, an Interview. The interview process consists of a simple process in which the Interviewing officers ask questions to the candidates related to their life and the knowledge and experience they have.

After all three phases, the candidates passing all the phases are called for the physical test which contains simple tests or the physical checkup of the body to make sure that candidates are physically fit to be qualified as a Supervisor. The next step is document verification, to make sure that the candidates are educationally qualified for the post. The merit list is prepared on the basis of the cadre, the district, and the institution allotted to the candidates.

About Mains Examination

The Mains examination or the second phase on the way of becoming a Supervisor is a written examination that consists of both subjective and objective type papers.

There are a total of six compulsory papers in the whole process. Two papers are subjective or descriptive types and four others are Objective papers that consist of Multiple choice questions.

There is one optional paper that consists of two papers that are also descriptive.

In total, four papers are Objective type and four papers that are Descriptive. All the papers are in offline mode that is, they are conducted in pen and paper mode. The candidates need to pass all the papers combined to move to the next phase of the examination.

The Mains examination for WBPSC Female Supervisor Recruitment will be held in the second half of 2023. The results of the Mains examination will be released three or four months after completion of the examination. The results will consist of the names of qualified candidates along with their marks, which will be counted while preparing the final Merit list. The qualified candidates will be called for the Interview and further process.

  1. The Candidates can prefer any language out than English and Bengali while writing the answers in Descriptive papers.
  2. While writing papers on Political science and Botany, the Nepali language can also be used.
  3. Candidates need not write their Names or Roll numbers or anything related to them that can disclose their identity. If found anything as such, 10% of the marks will be deducted from the total marks obtained by the candidates.
