His journey begins with the troop after that and he gets a new name, Rocky. The first season deals with Rokurou joining the organization and getting involved in crimes, gun fights, and killings.
The focus of the anime is mainly action. Dutch, Revy, Benny, and Rock comprise the Lagoon Company which was based in the fictional city of Roanapur. They get involved in various missions involving crimes, murder, gunfights and battles. The manga was serialized in Monthly Sunday Gene-X in 2002 and has been adapted into two anime seasons and an OVA series. The maker who was influenced by filmmakers such as Quentin Tarantino, had his inspiration for the manga from the various pirate attacks that used to take place in the South China Sea in the 1990s.
