JAIIB Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following requirements to be eligible to sit for the Junior Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers examination: All applicants who wish to sit for the JAIIB exam must meet certain criteria

  • The applicant has to be employed in the banking and finance industry.
  • The applicant must also be 18 years of age or older and have completed their higher secondary education (class 12) or its equivalent from a recognized board. Additionally, they must have attained a minimum score of 50% in their higher secondary education (class 12) or equivalent to be eligible for the exam.
  • If they have completed Class 12, junior staff employees of IIBF-affiliated banking and financial institutions are eligible to sit for the JAIIB test.
  • On the suggestion of the manager or officer in charge of the bank where they are employed, applicants who have not passed the 12th class or equivalent examination may sit for the JAIIB test for the clerical or supervisory staff cadre. Therefore, the JAIIB test provides an opportunity for employees of IIBF-affiliated banks and financial institutions to gain knowledge and skills that can enable them to move up the ranks in their profession.
