West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) – An Overview

West Bengal Board of Secondary Education is a state board of education in the state of West Bengal. Its headquarters are located in Kolkata. In 1951, WBBSE was established under the West Bengal Secondary Education Act. The WBBSE also prescribes textbooks to be studied in schools affiliated with it. The Board conducts public examinations at the end of class 10th and class 12th every year and after successful completion, students can study further in colleges or take up job opportunities they find fit.
