It was created by Jenji Kohan, written by Kohan, Roberto Benabib, Rolin Jones, David Holstein, Victoria Morrow, and many others, and directed by Craig Zisk, Scott Ellis, and Michael Trim among other people. The production companies are Tilted Productions, Lionsgate Television, and Showtime Networks, and the producers include some of the writers, and directors, along with Lisa I. Vinnecour, Mark A. Burley, and Matthew Salsberg.
The first season of Weeds released the first episode on 8 August 2005 and ended on 10 October with the tenth episode. The second season was released on 14th August 2023 and ended on 30th October 2006 and the third season began on 13th August 2007 and concluded with the fifteenth episode on 19th November 2007. Weeds season 4 released its first episode on 16th June 2008 which ended on 15th September 2008 with thirteen episodes.
Seasons 5, 6, 7, and 8 all have thirteen episodes in total. Weeds Season 9 Plot
Weeds follows the life and story of Nancy Botwin, a widow and a single mother to two sons living in Agrestic, a fictional place in Los Angeles. Nancy lost her husband Judah when he suffered a heart attack while taking their younger son out on a jog. To support and maintain herself and her children, she buys marijuana for sale.
Nancy used to live a life of comfort due to her late husband, and the maintenance of the posh lifestyle is the major reason for her getting into this business. As the series progresses, she finds herself immersed in criminal activities and fakes a front to cover her marijuana dealings up. Nancy even creates her own strain of weed naming it MILF and also moves to escape custody and protect her family. Weeds season 9 is unmade and has no plot.
