List of Entrance Exams for Journalism and Mass Communication

Since 2021, the (GMEC) has administered the GMCET, a national entrance exam.  100 multiple-choice questions worth one mark each are included in the GMCET exam. The test has a 120-minute time limit.

The CUET is generally conducted in the month of June. On clearing the entrance exam, candidates have to appear for the counselling in the college they have applied.

The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) administers the IIMC Entrance Exam for courses in regional languages. The CUET PG exam will be used to determine admissions for journalism PG diploma programs

The JMI Entrance Exam is conducted by the renowned Jamia Millia Islamia annually in order to offer students admission to its Journalism and Mass Communication courses.

ACJ conducts the ACJ Entrance Exam annually in order to offer students admission to its PG Diploma courses. The ACJ Entrance Exam is generally held in the month of April.

One of the renowned entrance exams in India, the XIC OET is conducted by the Xavier Institute of Communications (XIC), which offers admission to various Postgraduate Diploma (PGD).

The Film and Television Institute of India conducts the FTII JET annually in order to offer students admission to its Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) courses and three-year programmes offered at the renowned varsity.
