Russian coaches, Galina and Andrei Pachin recognized Harley's potential and began mentoring him around late 2006, marking the beginning of his journey in figure skating.

Initially competing in the singles category, Harley transitioned to pairs skating when he teamed up with Ekaterina Katya Dmitriyevna Alexandrovskaya, a talented skater from Moscow.

Unexpectedly, a decline in their on-ice chemistry and Katya's health issues led to the dissolution of their partnership in February 2020
