Wayward Pines Season 3 Story
The story of Wayward Pines is set in the year of 4028 with additional scenes from 1999, 2000, 2012, 2514, 4014, etc. In 4028, humans have evolved into aberrations, commonly known as abbies. They are weird humanoid creatures who are violent and love destroying humans by killing them horribly.
Wayward Pines has been set in a post-apocalyptic world, but the people inside the town have no idea which year it is or what is happening out there. This is because they were kept in certain special chambers and were finally awakened in 4028. The origin story of this town can be traced back to David Pilcher, a scientist who saw the end of the human race and the future abbies coming, but no one believed.
He then set out to create Wayward Pines as a sanctuary and a way to preserve humanity. The plot starts with Ethan Burke, a US Secret Service agent waking up from a car crash outside Wayward Pines. He remembers driving with his colleague to find Kate and Bill, two other agents.
What follows is the story of the truth about Wayward Pines, the Abbies, and the attempts of the survivors to regain normalcy, while another faction causes chaos. How no one is allowed to leave or reveal the truth, lest they get executed publicly in what is called a reckoning. Wayward Pines Season 2 begins where Season 1 ends with Ethan’s son, Ben in a war with Jason Higgins, the new leader of the town.
