This show has been adapted from the novel series titled Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Dōchū written by Kei Azumi and published by Shōsetsuka ni Narō. The novel is still running alongside a light novel series by the same artists since 2013. The plot of Tsukimichi Moonlit Fantasy season one is about Makoto Misumi and The Goddess. The Goddess is the ruler of a parallel fantasy dimension and made a deal with Makoto’s parents. Makoto was supposed to be the Hero of the Goddess’s World according to the contractual details, but she rejects him as he does not measure up to her level of beauty standards.
She throws him into the Wasteland condemning him to death and selects two other humans from Earth to be the Heroes. However, the Moon God Tsukuyomi helps Makoto by giving him his powers. The last episode sees the destruction of two strong villains Sofia and Mitsurugi, and Makoto contemplating his future. Tsukimichi Moonlit Fantasy Season 2 might pick up from where season one left off.
