The Faraway Paladin is a Japanese isekai anime that was released on 9th October 2021. This anime show is also known as Saihate no Paladin. It has been adapted from the fantasy novel series by Kanata Yanagino and published by Shōsetsuka ni Narō which started releasing in May 2015.
A light novel series illustrated by Kususaga Rin and published by Overlap started releasing the content in March 2016 and is ongoing with five released volumes till now. After the enormous successes of the novel and light novel series, The Faraway Paladin manga was released on 25th September 2017. This shōnen manga is written by Kanata Yanagino, illustrated by Mutsumi Okuhashi, and published by Overlap in the Comic Gardo magazine.
The Faraway Paladin anime has been directed by Yuu Nobuta, written by Tatsuya Takahashi, and produced by Children’s Playground Entertainment. The second installment is titled The Faraway Paladin: The King of the Mountain of Rust. It was directed by Akira Iwanaga and produced by OLM and Sunrise Beyond. As of June 2023, The Faraway Paladin season 2 release date will be around October 2023, but the exact date is unconfirmed.

The Faraway Paladin Season 2 Story
The story of The Faraway Paladin revolves around William Maryblood, a boy on Earth who was reincarnated in the city of the dead. He stays with his foster parents, Blood and Mary, and his foster grandfather Gus. Gus teaches William magic since he’s a sorcerer while Mary is a mummified priestess and Blood is a skeleton warrior.
The protagonist slowly starts wondering about his existence and gains his memories from his past life back. He goes on to defeat the God of the Undead Stagnante with Gracefeel, the goddess he fell in love with. The Faraway Paladin season 2 is set two years after the events of the first installment and will focus on William again.

The voice of Blood is by Katsuyuki Konishi and Bill Butts; the voice of Mary is by Yuri Horie and Veronica Taylor; the voice of Augustus is by Nobuo Tobita and Kirk Thornton; and the voice of Melendor is by Ayumu Murase and Griffin Puatu.
