Sword Art Online Season 2 Story

The plot of Sword Art Online Season 2 revolves around Kirito, a gamer who was one of the testers from the game Sword Art Online or SAO. This game was released in 2022 and is shown in the first season. The first season shows us how Kirito and Asuna navigate through SAO whilst being trapped there. 

The second season follows Kirito as he comes across a new game called Gun Gale Online or GGO. In this new game, there is a player called Death Gun who can kill people in real life by killing their virtual characters inside the game. Kirito teams up with another player called Sinon to get to the bottom of the mystery. 

They also travel to Alfheim Online or ALO to retrieve Excalibur, the Holy Sword from the King of the Frost Giants named Thrym. We also see Asuna finding a friend in the head of the Sleeping Knights named Yuuki Konno. However, she gets heartbroken after learning that Yuuki does not have long to live.
