SSC MTS 2023 Eligibility

SSC has released the official SSC MTS 2023 Notification on its official website. The application deadline is February 17, 2023. The SSC MTS 2023 exam (Paper 1) is tentatively scheduled to be conducted in the month of April 2023. The Commission released various vacancies for SSC MTS posts. On October 21, 2022, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) published the Official SSC MTS Notification 2023 on its website.

SSC MTS Notification 2023 has amended certain aspects of the written examination time duration (Paper 2). At first, it was 45 minutes, but it has changed to 30 minutes.Additionally, cycling is not included in the PET (Physical Efficiency Test).

This exclusion has raised some concerns among the physical education community, as cycling is seen as an excellent form of exercise and can help improve overall fitness levels. This reduction in time, as well as the exclusion of cycling from the PET, is a positive step forward taken by the SSC to make the recruitment process more efficient.

SSC MTS 2023 Vacancy Details

Vacancies have been announced by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for 7,301 MTS (Multi Tasking Staff). These changes were brought about to reduce the burden on applicants and make sure that all candidates receive equal opportunities when applying for the post. The decision to exclude cycling from the PET is one that was met with approval by most candidates who had applied for the post.

The reduction in time of the recruitment process and the exclusion of cycling from the Physical Endurance Test (PET) were two of the most applauded changes made by the SSC to make the process more efficient. These changes were welcomed by many, as they allowed those from a lower socio-economic background the chance to apply for the post without having to worry about their lack of access to a bicycle.

Furthermore, the exclusion of cycling from the PET also provided a much-needed reprieve for female applicants, who tend to be at a physical disadvantage when it comes to sports such as cycling. These changes allowed those from underprivileged backgrounds to enter the job market and compete on a more level playing field.

The Staff Selection Commission also makes a variety of other positions, including peon, daftary, junior gestetner operator, safaiwala, jamadar, chowkidar, mali, and more, available to candidates. To apply for any of these positions, candidates are required to take a written examination that consists of four sections: general intelligence and reasoning, numerical aptitude, general English, and general awareness.
