Selection Process: Odisha Police Jobs 2023

The selection process for the post of Odisha police Recruitment consists of various stages including written examination, physical tests, and physical efficiency tests. All of the tests are explained briefly below.

Written Examination 

The first stage in the selection process of Odisha police Recruitment is the written examination of 100 marks, out of which candidates need to score minimum Cut-off marks to qualify for the next stage. The candidates who score more than or equal to the cut-off marks are hence qualified for the next stage of the Physical Efficiency test.

  1. The questions in the written examination shall comprise Odia language, English Language, Arithmetic, General Knowledge, Situational Awareness, Logical Reasoning, and Basic Computer Knowledge. The standard of the questions shall be such that a student who has passed the Senior Secondary Examination will be able to answer.
  2. There will be a penalty of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer by the candidate in the written examination.
  3. The medium of the written examination is English except for the questions in Odia language.
  4. The Candidates not appearing for the written test will be disqualified.
  5. The minimum qualifying marks in the written test will be decided at a later date by the Odisha State Selection Board after the culmination of the examination.
  6. The total mark for the paper is 100 One hundred Marks.
  7. The total time given for the examination is 120  Minutes.

Physical Standards & Physical Efficiency Tests

After the culmination of the written examination, the selected candidates who scored more than or equal to the cut-off marks are then called for the physical tests. The dates of the physical tests will be intimidated to the selected candidates through SMS or mail on the registered mobile number or email as, as applicable to candidates.

Candidates must qualify for all the requirements to get selected for the next stage of the selection process. In case of failure of the same, candidates will be disqualified. Physical Efficiency Tests

Driving Test

The last stage of the selection process is the driving test, which is an optional test.
