Lie To Me Season 4 Story
Lie To Me has been created following the real-life story of Paul Ekman who is a renowned psychologist and professor at California San Francisco. Following his inspiration, the series opens with a man named Cal Lightman, who is a certified body language expert. He is able to see through someone’s lies and deceive through their body language and facial expressions.
Cal and Gillian hire Ria Torres who fared well on Cal’s tests. Ria seems to possess a natural talent in the subject and always contradicts Cal. Cal on the other hand tries to gain the upper hand by following her facial expressions closely, but to no avail. This behavior of Cal became quite prevalent following the trauma of his mother’s death. His mother had lied about not being in pain in order to get out of the hospital.
In the initial seasons, Torres and Lightman worked together, while Foster and Loker were always alone. The plot was to bring the four main leads together wherein they helped each other. They end up collaborating with law enforcement officers as applied psychologists to uncover the truth.
This caused the number of viewers to decline significantly from the first season. FOX made the decision to rerun the TV show for a total of thirteen episodes. It’s unfortunate that this season’s ratings didn’t match those of season 2.
