Killing Bites has been adapted from the Japanese manga ‘Kiringu Baitsu’ created by writer Shunya Murata and illustrator Kazuasa Sumita. The anime series has been directed by Yasuto Nishikata, written by Aoi Akashiro, and produced by Toshihiro Maeda, Reo Kurosu, Takayuki Takagi, and others.
The first season of Killing Bites consists of 12 episodes and was released from January 2018 to March 2018. The anime received a rating of 6.3 from IMDb and 6.6 from MyAnimeList. Even though the anime series was a hit among some, it failed to meet the expectations of others. Killing Bites was later made into a game for PlayStation 2.
After the last episode of the first season aired on 31st March, there were rumors circulating about another season of the popular anime series. However, with the impact of COVID-19, production had to be shut down for Killing Bites season 2.

Killing Bites Season 2 Story
The first season of Killing Bites introduced the characters of Hitomi Uzaki, Yūya Nomota, and Reiichi Shido. Hitomi is a girl, but also a honey-badger hybrid created by the four Zaibatsu Conglomerates. She gets kidnapped by some college students, including Yūya Nomota. Yūya however was oblivious to his friends’ plans and was literally forced to take part in her kidnapping and rape.
The college students were unaware of Hitomi’s true identity, and her excellent ability at combat. She kills all of them, except Yūya. Yūya, on the other hand, has the shock of his life when Hitomi fights against a lion monster in an abandoned compound after turning into a monster herself.
Shido kept Hitomi as Yūya’s protector who later falls in love with her and confesses everything. She however had to kill him on the orders of her guardian Shido, the character who was also her crush. Yūya survives the assassination attempt while Hitomi and Shido remain blissfully unaware.
Killing Bites season 2 might focus on the characters of the four Zaibatsu and how a majority of Japan’s economy depends on the battles of Killing Bites. It might also show Yūya’s comeback and revenge on the ones who tried taking his life. They showed not much about Shido, and he can act as a major character.
