Jai Bangla Pension Scheme is launched by the West Bengal State’s Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Jai Bangla Scheme 2023 Eligibility

The scheme would provide financial assistance in the form of a monthly pension to senior citizens and destitute widows, who may not have access to other means of income. The pension scheme would be funded by the state government, and those eligible for it would have to apply for it at their nearest Department of Social Welfare office.

Jai Bangla Scheme 2023 : Types

The government of West Bengal has divided this pension scheme into two parts: 

  1. Taposthali Bandhu Pension Scheme for SC Community, and 
  2. WB Jai Johar Pension Scheme for ST Community. 

The state government has decided to introduce two new old-age pension schemes, namely, Taposili Bandhu and Jai Johar. The state government has also decided to enhance the pension given under the existing old age, widow, and disability pension schemes. These pension schemes will be administered by the state government under one roof pension scheme, namely the Jai Bangla Scheme 2023.

Benefits of Jai Bangla Scheme 2023
