Inuyashiki – Last Hero Season 2 Story
The story revolves around two main characters, Inuyashiki and Shishigami. Inuyashiki is a 58-year-old boring worker who doesn’t receive any affection or attention from his family. He is always disregarded and not cared for. His life becomes worse when he is diagnosed with terminal cancer. With no hope left in a public park, Inayushiki gets hit by a sudden explosion, along with Shishigami.
It turns out that the blast transformed them into powerful mechanical cyborgs. However, Shishigami wanted to use his powers for evil intentions, like the murder of innocent people for fun, and Inuyashiki wanted to make this world a better place by acting as a savior. The anime shows us a nice contrast between two opposing characters and how they overcome all differences to save humanity and planet Earth.
The last episode shows us the deaths of Inuyashiki and Shishigami who sacrificed themselves to save Earth from an incoming meteor in space. The show leaves a cliffhanger where we see Inuyashiki’s son practicing combat and Mari’s book getting published. These two events might indicate a second season, but the chances are quite slim.

Since this is an anime, there are no physical actors, but only their voice-overs. The voice of Ichirō Inuyashiki is by Fumiyo Kohinata, and the voice of Hiro Shishigami is by Nijirō Murakami. Kanata Hongō gave his voice to Naoyuki Andō, Sumire Uesaka gave her voice to Mari Inuyashiki, and Sumire Morohoshi gave her voice to Shion Watanabe.
