What Is The GITAM GAT Examination 2023?
The GITAM GAT examination is the entrance examination to get admission under various Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in various fields like Architecture, Science, Engineering, Humanities, Law, Management, Nursing, Paramedical, Pharmacy, and Physiotherapy. Candidates who wish to pursue higher education at the esteemed GITAM University need to apply for this Examination and score good marks to secure admission.
How To Fill Out The Application Form For The GITAM GAT examination?
To fill out the application form for the GITAM GAT examination follow all the steps properly, given below.
Step 1 – Visit the official website of GITAM GAT, click here to directly go to the official website.
Step 2 – On the official website, open the application tab. On the application tab, go for new registration.
Step 3 – Register on the tab by filling in all the basic personal details about yourself and other details required of you. Verify your email id or mobile number at your convenience.
Step 4 – It is mandatory to fill all the fields marked with a ‘*’ asterisk. You can read all the necessary instructions before filling out the form. Make sure you don’t make any mistakes while filling out the form as it is not possible to make any changes further.
Step 5 – After filling out the form properly, preview it for further checking. Submit the application after it.
Step 6 – After submitting the application, move to the next step which is the payment of the application or Registration fee.

Current Education Details
In this section, candidates need to fill in their educational qualifications including Secondary education details and Senior Secondary education details. Apart from this, candidates also need to fill in current education details including the current field of study, the name of the school in which the candidate is studying/studied, the subjects that the candidate is studying/studied, the campus candidate is interested in, and the year of completion of graduation or Senior Secondary. Apart from these, candidates need to fill out the courses he/she is eligible for.
Course Selection Details
In this section, all the courses are displayed for which the candidate is eligible. The eligible courses are listed on the basis of the course and details filled in by the candidate in the previous section of education details. Candidates need to select the courses they want to apply for, after adding the courses, click on the option “Add course”.
After candidates apply for all the required courses, a list of all the chosen courses will be displayed in a tabular format with all the details including the Application number, Course name, Amount, Application status, and Delete option, to delete any course. Review all the details of all the courses before moving on to the next step of submission. After reviewing, click on the Save and Next options.
Personal Details
The next step after submitting the courses is to fill in all the required personal details, a list of which is provided below.

Apart from these things, a passport-size photograph with the following requirements.
- Formal photograph.
- PNG/JPEG format.

In this section, candidates need to fill in the communication details like Phone number, e-mail ID, or details of their parents, as required of them. To move to the next step, click on the Save and Next buttons are given on the screen.
Center Details
The next step after filling in the communication details is to fill in the exam centers that the candidates feel comfortable in or are preferred by the candidates. Candidates should choose the centers which are easily accessible and reachable on time so they won’t have to face any problems in the future while appearing for the exam.
Sports Details
This section is not compulsory for all, in case any candidate has played any game or has any accomplishment or participated in any sports in school or district or any level, they can add the details as required.
Application Fee
The next step towards your application submission is to pay the application fee of Rs. 1200/-. Please note that the application fee is not refundable in all cases. Please note that the candidate can make a change before payment of the application fee only, once the payment is done no changes can be made, so make sure you check all the details once again before proceeding with the payment.
Payment can be made by any online mode like Net banking or Credit or Debit cards. Once the application fee payment is done, you’ll be redirected to the Application print page, from here either you can download it or print it. Make sure you either download the pdf or get it printed for future use.

Examination Date Of GITAM GAT Examination
GITAM University has announced the tentative date of the GAT examination. The dates of the examination start on 31st March and continue till 3rd April 2023. Candidates can further check the dates of their examination once admit cards are available for download. Candidates can check the venue of the examination, and the date and time of the examination from the admit card itself.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidates need to be eligible to get admission to GITAM University, the criteria of which are given below.
For UG- students seeking admission to the undergraduate program of GITAM University need to have completed their Senior Secondary education from a recognized board of education in any stream.
PG- students seeking admission in the postgraduate program of GITAM University must have completed their graduation with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university or studying in the final semester or year of their graduation, given, they provide their pass certificates before August 2023.
