The Mexican series Dark Desire, titled initially as Oscuro Deseo, by Netflix, created a huge stir when it was released in 2020. Fatal Seduction is the South African remake of Dark Desire. The remake has been created by Steven Pillemer, directed by Johnny Barbuzano, Nthabiseng Mokoena, and Zuko Nodada, and written by Sydney Dire and Steven Pillemer.
The series production credits go to Ochre Moving Pictures along with Britt Ballantyne, Johnny Mabeba, Robbie Thorpe, and Ilse Van Hemert. The first season released a few episodes on 7th July 2023, and the rest on 4th August 2023.

Fatal Seduction Season 2 Plot
The plot of Fatal Seduction is similar to Dark Desire. The main protagonist Professor Nandi Mahlati is married to Leonard Mahlati, a distinguished judge and they have a daughter together named Zinhle. However, Nandi is unhappy with her marriage since her husband blames her for her miscarriage. On top of that, she suspects Leonard is cheating on her with Ameera, his pretty assistant.
To get away from all this, Nandi plans a trip with Brenda Grootboom, her best friend. During the trip, they encounter a charming man named Jacob Tau who gets close to Nandi. The story does not end there. Jacob enrolls himself in the same university class that Nandi teaches after they return from the trip. Even though Nandi tries hard not to give in to her desire, she begins an illicit affair with her student. When she finds out Leonard was loyal to her, she breaks it off.
But, Jacob did not want to let go and tried to bag an internship with Leonard to be close to Nandi. Brenda was also found dead under mysterious circumstances. The officials thought it was suicide, but as the series progressed, we find out it was a murder. Vuyo, Leonard’s brother and a former police officer, investigates the case and unearths many secrets.
Jacob is trying to avenge his father Benjamin who was wrongfully accused by Brenda and sentenced to prison by Leonard years ago. The first season did not leave any cliffhangers as such, but there are still a few arcs that can be made into Fatal Seduction season 2.
