Dark Gathering Plot
The series’ background is dark as it deals with haunting ghosts and other supernatural stuff. The plot of the manga series revolves around a college student, Keitarō Gentōga, who is in his freshmen year.
Keitarō Gentōga fears ghosts or any scary stuff and ironically he has spiritual powers which attract the only thing he fears and that is haunting ghosts and spirits.
Sadly this resulted in him and his friend being cursed which led him into a dark hole known as his thoughts, this was seen in his action as he shuts himself from the outside world.
Keitarō Gentōga never showed his face to society and this affected him badly which can be seen in his poor social skills.
Thankfully, Eiko Houzuki, Gentōga’s childhood friend was there for him to lead him into a normal life. In order to help him she advises Gentōga to teach her extremely intelligent cousin, Yayoi Houzuki.
Yayoi Houzuki was also like Gentōga, she also possessed spiritual powers but unlike Gentōga she is always ready to face those evil spirits.
She is trying to find her mother’s soul and always goes to different haunted places dragging Gentōga with her much to latter protests.
They embark on this dark journey where they made a pact, Gentōga will help Yayoi on her mission and Yayoi will help Gentōga to break his curse.
