Application Process

Eligible candidates can now proceed to fill up the application form by following the given steps.

Selection Process: BOB PO Recruitment 2023

There are in total three stages in the selection process for the post of Probationary officer in the bank of Baroda. The stages include a written examination, an interview process, and GD.

 Written Examination

The first stage which is the written examination will be a computer-based examination or online mode examination.

There are in total five in sections in the written examination. The examination structure along with total marks, the total number of questions, and time duration are given below.

  1. All papers except English and English Descriptive papers will be available bilingually.
  2. Marks obtained in English and English Descriptive paper will be of qualifying nature and won’t be considered while preparing the final merit list.
  3. Minimum qualifying marks for the General category and EWS category candidates will be 40% of total marks.
  4. Other categories will be entitled to a relaxation of 5% marks.
  5. A negative marking of ¼ mark for each wrong answer given by the candidate.
  6. No penalty will be given for the questions left unmarked.

Interview

Candidates who have been declared qualified in the first stage will be called for the interview process by the bank. A total of 60 marks will be allotted to the interview process. A General category candidate or an EWS category candidate will need 40% Marks for qualifying the interview. Other category candidates will require 35% marks to qualify for this stage.

Group Discussion

The third and last step in the selection process of the examination is group discussion. Candidates who have qualified for both the written examination and interview are thus called for the Group discussion at some selected centers of the bank. A total of 40 marks are allotted for this stage. A General category candidate or an EWS category candidate will need 40% Marks for qualifying at this stage. Other category candidates will require 35% marks to qualify for this stage.

Final Merit List

After all the stages, candidates qualifying in all three stages are considered while preparing the final merit list. It is based on the marks obtained by a candidate in Written Examination, Interview, and Group Discussion.
