Band of Brothers is based on the non-fictional novel by Stephen E. Ambrose, a historian. The plot is about the Easy Company which is a part of the Second Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division, and their involvement in Word War 2.
The series started with jump training at Camp Toccoa, Georgia, and included events like American airborne landings in Normandy, the invasion of Germany, the freedom from concentration camps, the surrender of Japan, and the ending of the war.
Major Richard Winters is the leader of this unit and his job is to complete the given dangerous mission while ensuring that his team is safe.
Band of Brothers gave us an insight into the lives of the soldiers who fought in World War 2. The series shows us the physical and mental hurdles the soldiers go through daily, the soldiers who survived either led a normal life or chose to fight in the war again, some soldiers died or went missing.
