1st Division Marks in Madhyamik WBBSE
Students need to score a minimum of 33% in each subject and 20% in practical exams to pass the Uccha Madhyamik exam. The Uccha Madhyamik exam is an important milestone in a student’s academic career, and the passing requirements are quite stringent. To obtain the first division, candidates need to get at least 480 points, while those obtaining marks above 360 will get a second division, and those above 272 will fall into the third division. Therefore, the Uccha Madhyamik exam tests the student’s knowledge and skills rigorously.

WBBSE Madhyamik Marking Scheme
The West Bengal Madhyamik Board will accept only the online application for the P.P.S. (Post Paper Review) /P.R. (Paper Scrutiny) of the H.S. (High School) examination. By introducing the online system for applications, the West Bengal Madhyamik Board has streamlined the process and made it much easier for students to apply for their H.S. This is part of the government’s effort to streamline the process and make it easier for both students and teachers.
This is not only a time-saving initiative but also a cost-effective one, as the online system eliminates the need for any paperwork or physical submission of documents. The online system also eliminates the chances of errors due to misplacing documents or inaccurate data entry, which was a common issue with paper-based applications. Candidates must submit online applications for post-publication review within 15 days from the date of publication of the result.
Candidates who failed the exam will be eligible for a review if they earn at least a grade C in two compulsory subjects (Language or Elective). The online application system was introduced by the Central Board of Secondary Education to reduce the amount of time taken for processing exam results and post-publication reviews.
